Located in the new Bloomingdale residential development, this community center is intended to give service to the 72 townhouses. Providing open playground areas, a gym, changing room facilities and the community swimming pool, the one story compound makes the best use of the arrangement of its volumes to structure the open spaces.

Leaving the swimming pool area on the south side to optimize the sun exposure, an L shape building encloses the site and houses the gym and changing rooms. Pergolas and canopies gracefully articulate the program and are used as thresholds that join the different spaces. Colorful elements that match with the tones used in the adjacent town-houses give the whole project a cohesive look and create a playful atmosphere for the recreation areas.
