The project brief asked for a shopping centre that would encourage the use of external areas as well as provide air conditioned space for the warm season. By using a series of rotated slabs and cantelivered terraces that incorporate landscaped outdoor areas, open spaces are maximized and are used by the retail shops, restaurants, cafes and gym.

As a result of the client´s intention to utilize the full GFA, the program expanded to include serviced apartments and a hotel. The first 3 levels were kept as a commercial area, while the 4th level is used as a common area connecting both the hotel tower and the lower volume of serviced apartments. Both areas feature generous terraces and double height balconies that refer to the architectural language of the shopping areas and integrate nature in the design.
