Established by Ana D´Castro and Ignacio Nieto de la Cal in 2014, BIA Design brings together the joint background of their architects in different countries and cultures. Having gained invaluable experience in Portugal, Spain, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Singapore, New York and ultimately Dubai, their ability to adapt to different environments enables BIA to respond to the local requirements with a global mindset.

 

 

The practice´s team combines a mixed range of construction, artistic and strong design skills gained in leading contractors and top design firms. After working in several Pritzker -prize winning architectural firms such as Herzog & de Meuron in Basel and Foster + Partners in London, BIA Design offers a fresh world class approach to the Middle East region. Having the chance to participate in projects like the Apple Headquarters in Cupertino, Miami Art Museum or the Sao Paulo Cultural Centre, BIA architects have also contributed as correspondents to international architectural publications and have been awarded in numerous international awards and competitions.
